ECLIPSE SCHOOLING
WHO ARE WE?
Eclipse Schooling are a new architectural practice dedicated to the development of education systems that challenge existing paradigms and bring ownership of education back to local communities.
To do this we have developed an online platform that allows for real time collaboration between design professionals and the local community
Having this platform allowed us parents to understand the thinking behind how our new community school was being planned, and share our thoughts early on so we could all get on the same page on what was right for our community.

We felt listened to.

The project is never truly over.
Going beyond the existing post occupancy framework allows us to learn what is working and isn't working in our designs.

People find it easier to trust that we want the best outcome for them,

You can only challenge existing pedagogies if you have classrooms that align with how you want to teach.

Eclipse's platform understands this, and values our opinions.

Our approach challenges the State Infrastructure NSW template for school design, arguing that a more considered community driven design process will produce graduates who are excited to pursue the next stages of their lives, and work with those around them.

We have developed an online system that will allow for common objectives to be achieved across the state, but with more community focused outputs.
A standardised set of guiding principles have been developed and in conjunction with this platform will help develop a bespoke kit of parts for each school in order to develop school infrastructure for both learners and the community needs.
In engaging all key stakeholders, we hope to develop meaningful design decisions that will ultimately benefits the students, teachers and local community.

We believe that you don't achieve good education with a construction template.

You need a new way of talking to each other.
